Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have been inducted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America, giving the stamp of approval by fashion’s elite.
The sisters are among 31 designers honoured by the institute, and were chosen for their involvement in fashion through their two labels, The Row and Elizabeth and James.
Both lines embody the young starlets' bohemian-chic look and reflect their classic yet quirky look. The Row line is named after Saville Row, Elizabeth and James, however, is named after their younger siblings and has more of a hip contemporary look.
The ‘Duel Star’ duo were invited into the CDFA by the group’s President — — Diane Von Furstenberg. The CFDA is a not-for-profit trade association, which consists of more than 350 of America’s foremost fashion and accessory designers.
