Vichy have added yet another anti-wrinkle cream to their Liftactiv range this time aimed at the 30 to 40 age group.
Combining hyaluronic acid with retinol and adenosine the cream claims to target three types of wrinkles: permanent wrinkles which get deeper with time, reversible wrinkles, which deepen as the day progresses and programmed wrinkles, which are projected to appear.
Being a fan of the Liftactiv range I was looking forward to trying this product as it is targeted at my age group but unfortunately my sensitive skin was not impressed and within a few hours I had developed an itchy reaction.
Believing initially that it was my new expensive foundation, I was a bit distraught but a few itchy days later and through the process of elimination I discovered it definitely was the cream.
Having said that, the product is suitable for all skin types so don’t let my super sensitive skin put you off. Apart from the small detail of the itch, it does have a lot to recommend it - texture wise its not too thick, it absorbs well and has a lovely fresh scent.
Also worth a mention is its innovative packaging – the pump dispenser is designed to keep the product fresh but be warned it does take a bit a getting used too – it is really sensitive so all you need is a quick touch if you want to avoid dispensing half the bottle!
So if you have very sensitive skin you’d be best to avoid but if you are under 40 and dreading the onset of wrinkles then this may well be the product for you.
