Aussie Frizz Miracle Shampoo and Conditioner

Aussie Frizz Miracle range

With long rebellious hair, I turned to the Aussie range for help in smoothing my locks, believing rather presumptuously that if anyone can tame hair, the Aussie’s can.

Faced with constant hair stress from sun, sea and sand I thought if a product range is good enough for Australian hair, than it has to work on wind weary Irish tresses. Not so or at least not for thick, naughty locks.

First of all, Aussie is a trademark and the products are made in Surrey. Secondly these new products didn’t live up to their ‘Frizz Miracle’ promise.

Not one to judge a product by its bottle, at least without trying it first, Aussie’s range always looks cheap yet cheerful. What I liked about the new products is the commitment to tame ‘flyaway, frizzy, “please sit still” hair’ however after use I was still in search of a solution.

I also liked the idea of treating my hair with shampoo and conditioner that contain Australian Blue Gum Leaves Extract. The blue tint is original and the smell is very refreshing. Although a little lazy, the shampoo does lather quickly and nicely but it two washes are needed.

While the conditioner bottle advocated applying a ‘splodge’ to do the trick, an awful lot more was needed to even begin moisturising the hair.

If your hair's more cheeky than rebellious then Aussie’s Australian Blue Gum Leaves Extract could be all you need but if you’re looking for a true ‘Frizz Miracle’ cure, then look elsewhere.
