Cork’s first ever Fashion Week kicks off on Friday April 17th and runs until April 23rd.

The week begins with a bang with the Cork Fashion Week Designer of the Year Award at the Pavilion. This event will showcase designs from local students from Cork and a panel of judges including renowned designer Peter O’Brien will choose the first ever CFW Designer of the Year.

On Saturday 18th there is a High Fashion Hair Show by Sobe Brown at the Imperial Hotel, South Mall. This show will create the current hair looks hot from the Paris and New York runways, with Pamela Morrissey and her team at Sobe Brown styling the hair.

Sunday 19th sees a ‘Pumps and Pearls Party’ at the Pavilion. Aimed at 12 to 17 year olds, this event will be an afternoon of fashion and fun and will celebrate the iconic fashion film 'Breakfast at Tiffanys'.

On Monday 20th there will be a fashion photography exhibition by Miki Barlok at the Boardwalk, Lapps Quay.

The week comes to a close on Thursday 23rd with ‘Boutique @ The Boardwalk’, a fashion show showcasing new season collections from some of the city and counties independent owned fashion boutiques.
