Picking the perfect eye make-up can be a bit of a chore if you’re not an expert.
You want your eyes to sparkle but you also want to avoid the pitfalls of panda eyes, the over-the-top look or worse, looking like you’ve gone ten rounds with a heavyweight!

Max Factor - Love That Look by Caroline Barnes
This party pack contains: Colour Perfection Eyeshadow (Star-Studded Black), Masterpiece Beyond Length Mascara (Moonlit Black) and Colour Perfection Eyeliner (Black).
What I loved about little pack is that everything you need for the perfect eye make-up is already matched up for you here and it’s pretty easy to achieve the look.
There are only two shades of eyeshadow so it’s pretty hard to get it wrong (trust me, I’m not the best at the eye make-up thing). And the best thing about this look is that it stays in place really well for hours.
L’Oreal - Colour Appeal
This eyeshadow is really easy to apply, blending into the lines and creases well. While shades like Meteorite Bronze are very subtle (even if you layer it on it was just too pale for my liking), Pure Gold and Metal Plum can really make a sparkly statement. What I particularly like about this eyeshadow is that it’s pretty hard to get wrong when you’re putting it on. A dab here or there will correct any mistakes without you having to run for the eye make-up remover.
Mac Cream Colour Base (Pink Platinum) with Mac Glitter Brilliants (Blackened Red)
This is brilliant look if you want to go all glittery and glamorous.
The lighter pastel shade works great as a base colour to the dramatic sparkly dust, which can be applied mildly for a subtler look or in layers for a more dramatic, show-stopping look (this was my favourite variation on the look).
The only downside to this is that you will end up with glitter on pretty much everything that you own but that's not necessarily an awful thing I suppose.
MakeUp Factory Eye Colours
These palettes, containing four different colours, are amongst my favourites when it comes to eye make-up They come in a really wide variety of colours and look brilliant on the eyes, offering everything from the natural to the dramatic. Very wearable for any occasion.
L’Oreal - Extra Volume Collagen Mascara
If you want to achieve the dramatic eyes look then this product will get you more than half-way there.
If you have a love of mascara (which I do) then this is a must-have item in your make-up bag.
It really does plump out your lashes. Your party pictures will thank you for this one!
Lancome Virtuose Mascara
This mascara defines the eyelashes brilliantly. The curved shape of the brush helps to curl the eyelashes upwards with minimum effort and it doesn't tend to rub off (in nasty streaks) – always a plus.
