It has just been announced that Madonna is the new face of the luxury brand, Louis Vuitton. She is the star of the next advertising campaign, which is set to launch next February worldwide.
She was approached by Marc Jacobs, the creative director of the brand, after he was "blown away" by her performance at the Sweet & Sticky tour in Paris. With her stunning physique and status as a cultural icon assured, Jacobs felt that she was a natural choice for the designer label.
For the campaign, which was shot by top fashion photographer, Steven Meisel, Madonna poses in a smoky Paris 1940s-style bar. Dressed in seductive stockings and head-spinningly high stilettos in the first pictures released, she displays her extreme flexibility, with her leg extended at a ninety-degree angle as she perches on a wooden chair. On her arm is the classic Vuitton statement bag.
Madonna previously appeared in campaigns for Versace, Gap, H&M and Max Factor.
