They are back this season in a big way. Every designer on the winter 08 runways jumped on the trend bandwagon with their take on the 'Fringe' boot.
Gucci gave their recent collection a Russian-gypsy-meets-bohemian-babe type of feel. Part of the look was fringed boots - both ankle-height in suede, and over-the-knee in leather. And they weren't the only ones - Anna Sui and Balmain were also rocking the trend.
It’s a throwback to the 70’s made fresh and new. Fringe has returned and is found on everything from scarves, to bags, to stiletto heels. But the fringed boot is the staple for Fall.
The trend is popular among Hollywood stars, who've been wearing the fringe boots in an array of styles, from ankle length, to triple fringe, to high heels. Most recently Lindsey Lohan, Mischa Barton, Kylie Minogue and Vanessa Hudgens have been sporting the look. You can never go wrong with a staple piece!
