A combination of wind, drizzle and exposures to hot and cold temperatures wreaks havoc on hair in the winter months, especially my already temperamental mane. So a change of products can be handy to help keep your tresses silky soft and under control.

L’oreal has brought out their Re-nutrition range, with shampoo, conditioner and a day and night serum and hair masque. The formula is enriched with Royal Jelly to nourish dried out hair.
Containing a mix of proteins, vitamins and anti-bacterial properties, Royal Jelly has long been recognised as a 'cure-all' product and it seems to have a good effect on the condition of my hair.
The shampoo is rich and creamy, smelling faintly like coconuts and left my hair softer than it’s been in ages. The conditioner was fairly light and rinsed out easily, without the feeling of residue. And it had a good shine to it after a quick blast of the blowdryer. The range is €5.79 for 400ml RRP.
Aussie’s range of shampoos, conditioners and hair masks are also a great go-to when your locks are looking lank. Their 3-minute-miracle has served me well through the years, and they have brought out gift-packs just in time for Christmas containing their Mega Moist and Miracle Moist ranges.
They nourish hair while providing a barrier to keep moisture from the elements at bay and hopefully keep your hairstyle in place longer than it takes you to walk to the bus!
Pantene have released a Winter hair care range called ‘Repair and Protect’ and it claims to protect against the weather and repair the look of damage, while cleaning your hair thoroughly. I had used their Ice Shine and Curl ranges before which I found great.
The new range definitely left my hair feeling stronger and shinier, with no sense of a residue. The Repair and Protect range at €3.49 for 200ml are a cheap and affordable range that leaves hair soft even after one wash.
