You may or may not know that the Leaving Cert begins next Wednesday, 8 June...If you are reading this article there's a very good chance you are sitting the exams and we want to hear from students in their own words.
That's why, with the help of The Irish Second-Level Students' Union (ISSU) we will be publishing exam diaries over the coming weeks.
These are by students and for students and give a great idea of what is happening day to day and we hope it will also encourage everyone to share and chat through things each day. Even if things went great or not so good, it's good to chat.
The ISSU President, Emer Neville, has a message for everyone who is starting their exams next week:
"The very best of luck to all students starting their Leaving Cert exams on June 8th. The last two years have been far from normal but you’re almost at the finish line!
Remember to take care of yourself over the next few weeks, plenty of water and sleep. You’ve done all you can do now, get stuck in, try your best and you will be fine!
Go n-éirí libh, a chairde!"
The ISSU's Deputy President, Adam Lambe contributed last last year. Check out one of his videos above.
He says: "The exam diaries provide a wonderful opportunity for leaving cert students to take some time to reflect on one of the most important events of their lives so far. I would encourage students to apply to take part in this year’s exam diaries to connect with other students across the country."
So far, we have had applicants from Dublin city and county, Tipperary, Kilkenny, Monaghan, Donegal, Cork, Kildare and Limerick.
