The RTÉ Concert Orchestra celebrates Emily Dickinson

The RTÉ Concert Orchestra was joined by David Brophy and guests for an hour-long Emily Dickinson radio special on the June Bank Holiday Monday and you can isten back here.

It featured by students, Emma Donoghue and Stephen Rea and music inspired by Dickinson performed by the orchestra with Ryan O'Shaughnessy, Naomi Louisa O’Connell and Susannah de Wrixon.

Music on the day included Billie Eilish’s 'Bury a Friend’, ‘Because I Could Not Stop for Death’ by Susan McKeown, Carla Bruni’s ‘I Went To Heaven’ and ‘I Felt My Life With Both My Hands’, ‘Will There Really Be a Morning?’ by Craig Johnson, Simon & Garfunkel’s ‘The Dangling Conversation’, and Ronald Perera’s Five Summer Songs on Poems of Emily Dickinson.
