Happy Lámh Day everyone! It's the perfect time to check out the hit show Dizzy Deliveries from RTÉjr. It is the first TV show to use the key word signing system Lámh.
Dizzy Deliveries was made with our friends from Lámh Signs Ireland, and it helps with the practicalities of communicating with all the class, as well as promoting the ideas of inclusion. It promotes children's self-awareness and understanding by helping them recognise and appreciate individual abilities of others around them.
Lámh is a manual sign system used by children and adults with intellectual disability and communication needs in Ireland. It supports communication - between parents and child, between siblings, between friends. It can be a stepping stone to communicating with the world.
Season 1 & 2 of Dizzy Deliveries is streaming now on RTÉ
Aisling will help everyone at home to learn 3 key Lámh signs in a fun way and she wants everyone to join in at school and at home too!
