KidCast: Schoolkids make their own Podcasts for RTÉjr

KidCast School Tour is back with a series all of its own!!

This time the show is embarking on a new adventure with pupils from 10 Primary Schools across the country, from Monaghan to Cork, Mayo to Kildare and lots of places in between. And, on each stop we will be making a Podcast!

You can subscribe and listen to KidCast School Tour on RTÉ, Apple or Spotify.

All the classes involved get a half-day radio workshop, preparing them to create their own shows for RTÉjr. From Science to Maths, SPHE to History, each episode is an original approach to learning about these core subjects.

The focus is on audio entertainment made by children, for children. And they can make whatever kind of show they like, learning how to write, produce and even make sound effects along the way.

And we will meet some very interesting guests along the way, including a well-known county football manager, a MET Éireann meteorologist, a much loved Irish author and a crazy science guy off the telly!

And we have a first for everyone...

Seo an chéad eipeasóid sa sraith atá trí Ghaeilge. Ní hamháin go gcuireann Gaelscoil Phádraig spóirt agus cultúr na hÉireann chun cinn, ach ceol, rince agus ealaín comh maith, rud a chiallaíonn go bhfuil na daltaí a bhfuilimid ar tí bualadh leo in áit an-mhaith don chlár áirithe seo.
