Dream Space TV Code Green: Become a compost champion in Episode 5

In Episode 5 of Code Green, Michael and Corey tackle the issue of food waste and introduce students to the world of composting! This episode shows how composting can turn everyday food scraps into valuable resources for plants, helping to reduce waste and support a sustainable environment.

Students will learn about the journey food takes from farm to fork and consider what happens when food waste isn't composted. Using MakeCode Arcade, they’ll create a composting-themed game, where they score points for sorting compostable items correctly while losing points for non-compostable items. This interactive game not only makes coding fun but also reinforces sustainable decision-making and introduces feedback loops.
