The Science of Sense is back and this time we are all about the environment and the habitats around us. Join us on a voyage of discovery with a team of Junior Scientists and presenter Professor Theodore Bumbledumm.

Over 6 shows they will investigate our Ocean; Inland Waterways; Soil; Air; Forests and Biodiversity.

In each episode Professor Bumbledumm and two Junior Scientists, Mathew and Danish, will take the listeners on an epic adventure to explore our environment, with lots of fun facts, music and unexpected discoveries on the way.

Each show includes The Science of Sense Call to Action. Here, the young listeners will be given an opportunity to become citizen scientists or conduct their own climate action project - ideal for the classroom!

Professor Bumbledumm and the Junior Scientists behind the scenes.

The Junior Scientists will explore and visit a climate action project to learn about innovative solutions to climate change. Join them as they visit a nature reserve, go on a seashore safari, sail on a solar powered eco showboat and visit a pocket forest in Dublin city. They will meet with scientists and ecologists to discover the wonders of our environment and the actions we can take to protect it.

And, Professor Bumbledumm will introduce a Science of Sense animal, and listeners will learn about native Irish animals, such as the hedgehog, the Irish Shark, and water bugs. We'll hear some incredible facts about these animals and look at ways we can help to protect them.
