Christmas Eve isn’t far away and in audio story Iníon Cloigíní na Nollag (Bells of Christmas) for RTÉjr Radio, Gíníe is nearly ready. And her cat Bella has a clever plan.
Follow them in a lively, musical story to celebrate Christmas Eve.Cloigíní na Nollag is the fourth in a series of four ‘readalong’ scéalta codlata (bedtime stories) written by Alison Ní Mháirtín and is available HERE via the RTÉjr This is Christmas Podcast.
Uilleann Piper Tigerlily Keoghan provides the music for the story and Ciara Murphy returns in the role of Gínie. Sound design, engineering and editing is provided by Jonathan Weatherill-Hunt. The series is also directed and produced by Alison Ní Mháirtín.Each story in the series features supplementary material that can be downloaded HERE.
This includes the story text in Irish, phonetics and English so that parents and caregivers new to the Irish language have the option to read along with their children. There is also an activity sheet and poster for younger listeners. Other project collaborators include Language Consultant Peig Ní Bhúiséir Ní Shúilleabháin and Graphic Designer Sinéad Duffin.
