For World Food Day 2022 the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) asked the lads from Cork's The Kabin Studio to produce a special song and video - Leave No One Behind.
Students from Cuba, Egypt, Ireland, Italy and Rwanda united to spread a powerful call for action through song and dance in the multilingual production.
Producers of the music video Garry McCarthy and Sean Downey work with young people at The Kabin Studio in Cork to produce music and creative song lyrics as a way to develop young people's confidence, raise awareness and call attention to important topics.
Together, young people from different countries, upbringings, cultures and languages are inspiring even more students to get involved as change makers and advocates for a hunger-free and sustainable world.
Listen carefully to the lyrics for simple actions that youth and all individuals can take to help build a sustainable future with healthy diets for all, where no one is left behind.
Students reflected more on the importance of inclusivity and equality, being informed, respect for food through healthy food choices and reducing food waste, care for our planet, compassion and much more.

Leave No One Behind was realized thanks to the collaboration, dedication and support of teachers and students from the Comandante Pinares School in east Havana, the Greenlands school in Cairo, Glasheen Girls and Boys Schools in Cork, the Russian school in Cork, the École Privée Marie Auxiliatrice in Kigali, Zhonghua Chinese Language School in Rome, FAO offices in Cuba, Egypt and Rwanda and The Kabin studio.
We need Food Heroes
Every year on World Food Day the FAO put the call out for Food Heroes to learn about sustainable food production and much more.
The World Food Day Poster Contest is one way to get involved. The deadline to submit a poster is 4 November 2022.
