Professor Theodore Bumbledumm is in the lab!

Welcome to the Laboratory of Nonsense and the Absurd where the eccentric Professor Theodore Bumbledumm, his trusted cat Denis and a team of junior scientists explore the amazing science behind our senses and how we use them to interact with the world around us.

What is our Consciousness? That's a question that scientists, philosophers and artists have been battling with for years! We wanted to know what is consciousness? Does every living thing have one? Does our consciousness change as we grow? What is our sixth sense? What makes you, you? Do we all see the world in the same way?

Junior Professors Milo and Luc are on the case!

We had so many questions, so we invited Anil Seth, Professor of Neuroscience at University of Sussex and Fiona Macpherson, Professor of Philosophy at University of Glasgow into the Laboratory of Nonsense and the Absurd to find out more.

Together we explored what they consider to be one of the toughest questions of our time: What is our Consciousness?

Join us to find out all about the amazing science behind our sense of Consciousness, make some unexpected discoveries, try scientific experiments, enjoy music, fun facts, animals and loads of silliness.
