Today, Múinteoir Ray told us all about rap music and how to rap! Did you know that rappers usually go by a different name from their actual name?
This is also known as a stage name or their rapper name. The famous rapper Eminem got his rapper name from his real name, Marshall Mathers ("M and M"). Snoop Dogg got his name because of his favourite cartoon character when he was growing up, Snoopy from a very famous cartoon called Peanuts.

- You can play on your actual name.

Some rap is improvised on the spot – like what Múinteoir Ray did today – but a lot of rap is carefully written and crafted in advance of being performed – just like poetry.
Have a go at writing a short rap now about one of the following:

- A member of your family
- A friend
- A pet
