A quick guide to 3D printing in the Hub Lab

Normally when you print something it's on a flat 2D surface, but thanks to modern technology 3D printing can do so much more.

You might have heard about it before or even seen some cool videos online, but in the Hub Lab, Phil is going to explain the process and fire up his own printer to show you one in action.

The demonstration starts simply to explain how you build things that lock in together, but even more complex and larger things need to apply these ideas too.

These printers were first used in the mid-1980s and they are now so advanced that thye can create everything from houses to food!
