3rd and 4th Class: English - Adjectives

In today's EXCELLENT class, Múinteoir John told us about all the AMAZING words we can use to make our sentences INTERESTING to read.

An adjective is a describing word. In the sentence above, EXCELLENT, AMAZING and INTERESTING are all adjectives. Adjectives can make a sentence more exciting and give more detail.

Each image has two items that you are to describe using the correct adjective

For example, the leopard is excited and the tiger is calm

Pick the right adjective to describe the following:

Describe the dinosaurs!

Can you describe these two dinosaurs using the adjectives supplied? Even though they are both dinosaurs, they can be described in different ways. You can add your own adjectives too!

Colouring time!

We can also use our colouring skills to help us describe things. Is the circle in the drawing the sun? If so, we need to colour it red so it looks very hot. Or is the circle the moon? If so, colour it grey or blue so it looks cold! Add some craters too! It's up to you!
