Home School Hub gets the silent treatment!

With Home School Hub we say the show must go on, even if there are some glitches in the system!

The crew are still trying to figure out what happened, but in the end things got back to normal for Múinteoir John as he made it to class and back into full colour!

The Hub editors had some fun and they were able to transport us all back around 100 years to when movies were all in black and white, and they were silent except for the music.

A lot of these silent movies involved dancing and big energy...

Instead of hearing people speak there would be a title card where there would be the general idea of what is being said.

The silent movie era eventually came to an end with the arrival of 'talkies'. That's what people back in the late 1920s and 1930s called films where you could finally hear what the people were saying.

Even though the modern movies are great it's still fun to look back at some of the classics where people had to make BIG expressions and do lots of movement to let people know what is going on like the Home School Hub crew did in their fun film.

Home School Hub is there in full sound and colour every weekday from 10am on RTÉ2!
