RTÉ are delighted to bring you another live dance class with Dancing with the Stars professional Laura Nolan. All you have to do is check out RTÉ Kids Instagram at 12.30pm TODAY to join in.
It's the second class from Laura and in case you missed the first one check it out HERE.
Laura is from Dublin and even through she is only 26 years old she has been dancing for YEARS! She lived in Italy for five years training but always represented Ireland. This means that she is also fluent in Italian!
She was the first ever Irish person to make a final of WDSF World Championship. Last year was Laura's first year on Dancing with the Stars and she can't wait for it to return once things get back to normal.
Let's find out more about Laura before the class...
How long have you been dancing?
I started when I was three years old doing ballroom, ballet and Latin all on the same week. My Mam was a dancer so as soon as I could she put me into dance.
Is this something you always wanted to do ?
Yes, it is my dream job. When I was younger, I used to say when I grow up I want to be a dancer. I always had the goal to be on the podium raising the Irish flag and honestly, I always had that determination to make it happen and I did!!
How hard do you have to practice?
To be the best at anything takes a lot of hard work and practice. Sometimes I would practice up to ten hours a day. When I was younger as I loved dance so much I would choose going to a competition over a party or going out with friends.
However, some just want to dance for fun and that's fine too which wouldn't require as much dedication but I knew what my dreams were and I would have done anything to make them happen!
What is your favourite dance?
I love the slow foxtrot and rumba. Both of those dances are very passionate and the music gives me goosebumps!
Do you have advice or tips for kids?
No matter what you do, dance, football, GAA, athletics or whatever it may be. Enjoy every minute of it.
Don't wish the time away and if you have dreams to pursue, never let anyone tell you, you can't do it. Always believe in yourself because with a bit of hard work and dedication anything is possible !
I'm so excited for everyone can join me on Instagram live with RTÉ Kids so I can take you all into my world of glitz, glam and dance!
