On Cruinniú na nÓg, Circus Explored will host six Circus Céilí events as part of the national celebrations this Saturday.
These vibrant, family-friendly events will bring young people and communities together to try something new, connect with others, and celebrate youth creativity across Ireland.
All of the events below take place on the day!
Cork City – Elizabeth Fort – Circus Céilí with Circus Factory – 11am to 4pm, Ages 5-18 – No booking required
The Circus Factory is taking over Elizabeth Fort, and they're bringing more than just circus; there will also be live singing, dance performances and a Ceilí!
Belfast – Carrick Civic Centre – Circus Céilí with Circusful Belfast – 12 noon to 2pm, All Ages – No booking required
Join Circusful, a Belfast based leading Circus arts organisation at the Carrick Civic Centre for a inclusive and joyful day celebrating the day of creativity in young people.
Galway City – Father Burke Park – Circus Céilí with Galway Community Circus – 12 noon to 5pm , All Ages – No booking required
Join us for live performances, hands-on workshops, and exciting new creative collaborations.
It’s a chance to come together, meet others, try something new, and celebrate circus in a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
Fingal – Séamus Ennis Arts Centre – Circus Céilí with Dublin Circus Project – 3pm to 5pm, All Ages – No booking required
Join Dublin Circus Project for a lively introduction to the joy of circus. Through playful workshops, you’ll explore juggling, hula hoop, and other skills that can be practiced at home, all in a welcoming space to move, learn, and have fun together.
Derry – Craft Village – Circus Céilí with In Your Space Circus – 12 noon to 3pm, All Ages – No booking required
Strictly Come Circus! There will be circus and dance workshops, performances and lots of fun and creativity throughout the day for all ages and abilities to enjoy!
Tipperary – Cloughjordan Village Green and St Kieran’s Hall – Circus Céilí with Cloughjordan Circus Club – 10am to 3pm, All Ages

Our Circus Céilí will be a fun, welcoming event where people come together to celebrate circus. There’ll be opportunities for parents and teens to try wire walking together; young families can take part in a sea themed circus workshop.Our youth members will be on hand to help with workshops and offer some pop-up performances.
And we’ll be joined by Cikada Circus who’ll be performing their show Walk the Plank right here on the green in Cloughjordan.
Workshop Schedule:
- 10am – 11:30pm Wire Walking1 Parent and Tweens (age 11yrs +)
- 11am – 12pm Sea Themed Circus Workshop (Parents and children ages 4yrs – 7yrs)
- 12pm – 1:15pm Performances from Cloughjordan Youth Members and Cikada Circus
- 1:30pm – 3pm Wire Walking2 Parents and Tweens (age 11yrs +)

Tipperary - Nenagh Arts Centre - Circus Céilí with Cloughjordan Circus Club - 3:30pm, All Ages
Cikada Circus will be also making their way to Nenagh for an afternoon performance and the launch of a wonderful sea themed exhibition made in collaboration with youth participants at Nenagh Arts Centre.
