Coimisiún na Meán, Ireland's media regulator, has produced a suite of educational materials called 'Rights, Rules, Reporting Online’ to help young people better understand their rights online under Ireland’s Online Safety Framework.
These lessons are designed to be used in CSPE, SPHE, Digital Media Literacy or Politics and Society classes and are available in Irish and in English. The resources were created in consultation with the Webwise Youth Advisory Panel as well as Coimisiún na Meán’s Youth Advisory Committee to ensure the language and approach were suitable for young people.
This lesson looks at the rights young people now have online, how they might report harmful or illegal content to online platforms and the role that Coimisiún na Meán has in enforcing these rights.
