Owlet: Lullabies of the World is a brilliant resource for educators and parents from Early Childhood Ireland and Mother Tongues featuring 10 songs along with video and e-learning content.
Owlet aims to support babies and young children to practice language, develop their own positive identity, and develop an understanding of others.
The initiative is a partnership between Early Childhood Ireland and Mother Tongues, which is supported by the RTÉ Toy Show Appeal Fund in association with Community Foundation Ireland.

Children's Book
Drawing on the magic created through the songs, each of the 10 lullabies is uniquely represented through illustrations in this beautifully designed children's board book.
Early Childhood Ireland wanted educators and children alike to see and experience their culture being celebrated. Each page contains a special extract of the full lullaby.
One printed copy of the illustrated children’s book will be gifted to all Early Childhood Ireland members who care for children aged 1 to 2 years.
Learning resources
There is also an e-resource with information and inspiration on the positive learning outcomes that are connected to lullabies, as well as reflective prompts for quality practice including:
- How to integrate lullabies into children's daily routine to promote better quality sleep
- How to support children’s emotional regulation and reduce stress
- How to enhance cognitive development
- How to support a developing sense of identity and belonging
