The Arts Council is inviting all schools across Ireland to get involved in their first ever Creative February initiative, a celebration of art and creativity in schools with a focus on fun, festivities, imagination and innovation, running from the 1 to 29 February.
It's an extension of the popular Creative Schools initiative, Creative February aims to celebrate Irish schools as creative places. Watch the news2day report above and then visit the official Creative February website for all the information.
We want you to:
- Make any style of art you choose – paint, draw, dance, knit, design, sculpt, code
- See art - Visit a museum or gallery, attend a theatre or spoken word performances, dance shows, music gigs, or see architecture and local art in your town or city!
- Do a creative project - as a team, as a class or as a school
You can download an activity sheet here in Irish and in English for the classroom where you have a Top 10 things to do.
There are live virtual in-class events for Primary and Post-Primary schools with all the details on the Creative February website.
