As part of Science Week, ECO UNESCO will be running ECO Week from Monday 13 to Friday 17 November. The week features a series of short, snappy 45-minute sustainability sessions which will be online and are entirely free of charge!
With two sessions scheduled every day featuring amazing guest speakers, students from 5th class, 6th class, and Secondary School Classes are invited to join in live. Register now to take part!

Monday 13th
Discover your role in shaping a sustainable world with 'SDG and Me' – an insightful workshop that brings you closer to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals.
2pm: Protecting and Conserving Life Below Water
Join us as we hear from Shines Tuna who will discuss the wonders of marine life and the importance of preserving our oceans.
Tuesday 14th
Get the basics of climate change in 'Climate Change 101,' a crash course on the science, impacts, and actions needed to combat this global challenge.
2pm: Climate Communications: Spreading the Word
In this session, Evie Kenny from Ecolution will tell us all about the art of climate communication and how words can be powerful tools for change.
Wednesday 15th
9am: Food, Fairness, and the Future: Social Justice in a Global Food Context
Darragh Wynne from GOAL will be sharing his invaluable insights on developing more sustainable and equitable global food systems, with a focus on social justice.
In this workshop, we will explore the beauty and wonder of Earth's diversity, where you'll gain insights into the essential web of life that surrounds us.

Thursday 16th
9am: The Sustainable Role of Forestry
Pat Neville, Communications Manager for Coillte, with his background is in forest ecology, will share his knowledge about Irish forests and how forests can be used sustainably.
2pm: Waste-Free Living: Conquering Single-Use Plastics
Patricia Kane from Reuzi will guide us through the issue of waste and how we can produce less of it.
Friday 17th
9am: When Creativity Meets Sustainability
Sharon Keilthy from Jiminy Eco Toys makes sustainable toys for children. Join us as Sharon tells us about her experience and about the importance of creativity when it comes to environmental action.
2pm: Food Sustainability and Reducing Food Waste
What are the sustainability issues in our food system, and what can we do to address these? Join us in this session as we answer these questions.
