With a late surge of new events we went from 450 to 650 fantastic free events that took place online and in person. After two very tough years it was so good to see so many people coming together and celebrating cultural fun events all over the country.
Once again RTÉ teamed up with The Creative Ireland programme to promote the event and there was a huge build-up and celebration on TV, Radio, Online and social.
If you are already missing it all why not check out RTÉ and Creative Ireland's social media accounts to see what went on.
All across the country thousands of children and their families joined creative events and workshops that were hosted by 31 Local Authorities and Creative Ireland's strategic partners Dance Ireland, Garageland, Historic Houses of Ireland, Irish Street Arts Circus & Spectacle Network and Nenagh Children's Film Festival.
On the day This Is Art! announced the winners too - Click here to see them!
Thanks so much to everyone who tuned in and came out on the day. And, a big thanks to all the people who got involved locally and nationally to make it all happen!
Cruinniú na nÓg 2022 is a collaboration between the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, the Creative Ireland Programme, local authorities and RTÉ and is the only event of its kind in the world.
