We know you know how great RTÉjr Radio is, but it's nice to hear the grown-ups love it too!

It's even better when you hear that everyone loves the work so much that the crew are nominated for two IMRO Radio Awards!!

The Christmas Panto, The Emperor's New Duds is up for Best Drama and the Climate Change show for young people, Ecolution, is in the running for Podcast of the Year!

Ecolution has just wrapped up Series Two and it has been another amazing year where the stark reality of Climate Change has made everyone sit up and take notice.

It is the perfect time for the Podcast for kids who want to make a difference in the fight against Climate Change. Guided by Producer Nicky Coghlan, James Dunne, a 17-year-old activist, meets people, young and old who want to help save the planet.

Ecolution has been flying the flag for environmentalism!

Getting to the Panto wasn't possible for people in 2020, but help was at hand! (Oh no it wasn't!)

The Emperor's New Duds follows Hansel and Gretel, on the run from their mother, as they get embroiled in a fiendish fashion fight.

Written and Produced by Nicky Coghlan, stars from across RTÉ Young People’s Programming recorded lines remotely to maintain covid protocols. And they’ve been woven into a riotous retelling of the classic Hans Christian Anderson fairytale.

Home School Hub's Múinteoir John plays Emperor Trout. Tiny Feet, small heart and a sense that he is the most important man in the Universe. Similarity to actual world leaders is wholly accidental.

His mate Múinteoir Ray twiddles his moustache as the devious designer, R Stiltskin. Phil Smyth, scientist extraordinaire, tries to advise the awful tyrant.

Aisling Moloney formerly of news2day is on hand to document proceedings, giving the goings on a hard news stare. Clara Murray, Niamh McManus and Shannon Keenan from RTÉjr Radio play rival tailors and the tricky mother.

Producer and Writer Nicky Coghlan plays Rufus, the cat narrator. And Sadhbh and Rosa Marshall Coghlan with Gabriel Sankey fill the kids roles.

It’s a half hour of rollicking Panto goodness and you can listen right now by pressing play above!
