It's a simple idea but one we can all get behind. On Thursday, 25 February Libraries Ireland are inviting people of all ages to get reading as part of Ireland Reads 2021.
So far there have been over 570,000 minutes pledged, but you can add your own pledge still!
Taking some time for yourself to relax and do the things you enjoy (like reading) is important to help look after your mental wellbeing too.
Take the pledge below and see how many minutes people all over Ireland will be squeezing in to read on the day. And it can be just that, spare a few minutes to read something.
President Michael D Higgins has this special message for everyone taking part and the importance of reading and libraries in Ireland.
You can also hear more about it all from Elaina Ryan, CEO of Children's Books Ireland, in this interview with Claire Byrne on RTÉ Radio.

There are loads of really great people getting behind it all, including Home School Hub hero Múinteoir Ray.
