It's the last of our The Twelve Stories of Christmas, and we are finishing up north with two legends from Derry. Bronagh Gallagher is reading a story from Lisa McGee. They would love you to finish with a flourish.
Lisa McGee is a playwright, screenwriter, producer and creator of Channel 4's Derry Girls and other highly acclaimed TV productions including The Deceived, Indian Summers, London Irish and Raw.
Lisa’s story starter is read by actress and singer Bronagh Gallagher, whose standout performances are far reaching, including the Commitments, Pulp Fiction, Pramface and a Bump Along the way, for which she received an IFTA nomination. Her single 'Truth or Dare,’ co-written with Dave Stewart of Eurythmics, was released earlier in 2020.
Léifidh Máire Zepf tús scéil Lisa. Is í Máire an chéad Children’s Writing Fellow do Thuaisceart Éireann, 2017-2019. Tá 12 leabhar do leanaí foilsithe aici agus bhuaigh sí an KPMG/CBI Children’s Book of the Year, an gradam Réics Carló, agus White Raven i 2020.
