Chiamaka Enyi-Amadi is a Lagos-born, Galway-raised and Dublin-based writer, editor, spoken-word performer and arts facilitator and a collaborator with Fighting Word for young people.

Here she performs her own story called 'Sleigh' as part of The Twelve Stories of Christmas. As with all the others ion the series, the creator has only given you the beginning and you must finish it.

Her work has been featured in Poetry International 25/26, Poetry Ireland Review 127, The RTÉ Poetry Programme, The Irish Times and in the collections The Art of the Glimpse: 100 Irish Short Stories (edited by Sinéad Gleeson) and Writing Home: The 'New Irish' Poets (co-edited Chiamaka Enyi-Amadi and Pat Boran).

The story has also been translated into Irish and you can see it below...

Is aisteoir Éireannach í Muireann Ní Raghallaigh a bhíonn le feiscint ar an stáitse agus an scáileán. Bíonn sí ag obair trí mheán na Gaeilge agus an Bhéarla. Bíonn sí ag aisteoireacht ar Ros na Rún, sraith Ghaeilge ar TG4.

You can watch and read all of The Twelve Stories of Christmas in English and in Irish by visiting Fighting Words and Graffiti Theatre Company. You can download the digital storybook too!

Spreading holiday cheer is more important than ever this year, so fire up your imagination and create a new classic tale. Why not read your stories to your family at home over Christmas and if you want share it online using #The12StoriesofChristmas.
