The Great Realisation: A special message for Dublin schoolkids

A group of Irish schoolchildren from Shellybanks Educate Together National School in Dublin who performed their own version of the worldwide viral hit story The Great Realisation did such a great job that they received a special message from the creator Tomos Roberts.

English film-maker Roberts created the work during lockdown for his younger siblings and after he posted it on YouTube it became a worldwide phenomenon with millions of views across social media. It even got the attention of Hollywood superstars like Jake Gyllenhaal and Jennifer Aniston.

It has also been translated independently into multiple languages, including Arabic, Hebrew, German, Spanish, French, Italian and Russian. With all the success it has even been made into a book.

And it inspired the pupils in Shellybanks to perform the work themselves. Have a look here...

After they posted their version of the story they were shocked to find out that the man behind the words had sent them their own special message.

Well done to everyone involved and make sure to keep up the creativity over the Christmas!
