Starting today and going right up until Christmas Day, RTÉ Learn are bringing you The Twelve Stories of Christmas with thanks to Fighting Words and Graffiti Theatre Company.
The idea is simple, a famous writer starts the story for you and then it's up to you to take it wherever you want. It's all just for fun over the festive holidays.
First up is A Christmas story by Roddy Doyle and his story is read by Hilary Rose in English agus Eoin Mac Diarmada as Gaeilge.
Co-founder of Fighting Words, Roddy Doyle is an award winning writer from Dublin. His novels for children include: the Rover Adventures series, Wilderness (2007), Her Mother's Face (2008), and A Greyhound of a Girl (2011).
Roddy’s Christmas story starter is read by actress Hilary Rose, most recently seen in The Young Offenders and Finding Joy on RTÉ and the BBC.
