DreamSpace TV is here to brings students, in school or at home, on a STEAM learning journey with a focus on computational thinking, creativity & problem-solving.
Join the Microsoft DreamSpace team weekly to learn about lots of cool things and take on fun challenges from building your own windmill, to creating your own obstacle course to coding a micro:bit to improve your wellbeing.
Who are these lessons for?
These lessons have been designed for 4th to 6th class students in Irish primary schools with subsequent episodes to follow in January 2021 that will be for Irish primary and post-primary students.
How do we take part?
This is the easy part. Each Tuesday, from September 29th at 10am, log on here to rte.ie/learn where you will see the latest DreamSpace TV article including the episode itself, some key information and a classroom worksheet to assist in the activities.

Episode One (September 29th): Join the team to plan, do and review the windmill maker challenge.
Episode Two (October 6th): Let's learn about conditions in the board game challenge.
Episode Three (October 13th): Take on the obstacle course challenge and learn all about loops.
Episode Four (October 20th): Learn about and make an endangered animal whilst also creating algorithms.
Episode Five (November 3rd): Join the team to take on the tower challenge in our final maker challenge before we begin to code.
Episode Six (November 10th): Begin learning how to code using Make Code for micro:bit (free browser-based program).
Episode Seven (November 17th): It's a classic! Look at conditions with the game rock, paper, scissors.
Episode Eight (November 24th): Get thinking about energy efficiency and program a thermostat.
Episode Nine (December 1st): Learn about using code to encourage us to take care of our wellbeing.
Episode Ten (December 8th): In the final lesson of 2020, join the team to learn about how to program the micro:bit to send and receive data.
