Lockdown didn't stop this young Director!

When looking to think outside the box, Emily-Jane Murray may be able to throw you a helping hand.

With an eye for detail and an ability to do almost every crew role, Emily-Jane is someone you want on your side when making movies.

Shot during the summer of 2020, Emily-Jane, alongside other young people made a film called 'Pass the Spoon.' This particular idea shows us that you don't all have to be in the one place to make a film collaboratively.

A member of the Young Irish Film Makers After School Programme and online summer camp participant, Emily-Jane knows how to come up with the most creative of ideas!

When not making films, this film maker enjoys spending time with her little sister and practicing her musical skills.

Young Irish Film Makers (YIFM) is the national film, animation and digital media organisation for young people across Ireland.

"Our mission is to make film making and animation accessible to all young people. Anyone aged between 9 to 25 years can take part in one of our practical training workshops in schools, youth clubs, summer camps and residential programmes."

Young people are empowered to work with professional equipment to make films, animation and digital media content.
