A plastic bottle cast aside as litter in our cities, towns and rural areas has the potential to journey to the ocean where it can pollute and cause harm to marine life.
Limerick City and County Council and Dance Academy, Limerick are reminding everyone that as they return to school they should add a reusable bottle to their school list. Reusable bottles help prevent single use plastic bottle waste.
Their motto is: 'Say no to plastic bottles and Save the Oceans of Tomorrow'.
This message is also true for the return to our varied activities such as dance, camogie, the gym, gymnastics, rowing, athletics, GAA, rugby, soccer and whatever else you are involved in.
The Dance Academy reduced their waste by one third and have banned the use of single use plastic in the studios by all students and their families using the Dance Studios and waiting areas.
Watch Dance for the Oceans and read the story of one plastic bottle and be inspired to do at least one thing to prevent single use plastic waste today!
