It is one of the oldest Olympic sports and one of the world’s largest sports. At every Olympic Games it is one of the first sports to sell out and regularly pulls in huge global TV audiences for major events.
Gymnastics Programmes
Gymnastics is one of the world’s most inclusive sports so male or female, young or old, able bodied or disabled can take part as it promotes an active, physical lifestyle and develops key motor skills.
Physical strength, flexibility, agility, coordination and balance are the sports core components however participation in gymnastics activity also develops confidence, creativity & leadership, not to mention a healthy body and mind.
Gymnastics Disciplines
There are 8 disciplines that fall under the umbrella of gymnastics:

On the main stage watch out for Rhys McClenaghan who made history by hitting Bronze on Pommel at the 2019 World Championships in Stuttgart, becoming the first Irish gymnast to medal at this event and in doing so, securing his place at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
