Sea Synergy - Kerry

All this week we are learning about the oceans around us and about the people and groups who are helping to educate us - let's have a look at another place to visit and learn.

Sea Synergy is a Marine Awareness and Education Centre in Waterville, Co. Kerry, that offers a variety of meaningful activities, workshops, and adventures that empower all ages.

Sea Synergy facilitates a number of education programmes for primary and secondary school students, and topics span a number of fields of study including marine mammals, marine biodiversity, ecology, Irish marine heritage and history, and more.

Our immersive workshops allow students to connect with nature and go away with a meaningful experience and a deeper understanding of the world around them. Our aim is to make learning fun and interactive, as well as instilling a respect for nature and the ocean in everyone who comes to learn with us.

Our Mission is to create meaningful experiences in nature that enable participants to discover the rich diversity of Ireland's environment and Wild Atlantic Way in a fun and memorable way.

In the video below, join Ellie and Sara from Sea Synergy for a virtual trip to the seashore! We will discover all types of rocky shore critters and talk about how they are adapted to survive in the intertidal zone. We will also talk about the many different species of Irish whales and dolphins and show you some of the exciting biofacts we have found on the seashore!
