5th and 6th Class: Gaeilge

Cluiche: Ag Insint Ama

Here's a fun game to practice telling the time in Irish.  You’ll need a dice, two counters, and at least two players.

  • All players start at the Tús.
  • Player 1 rolls the dice and moves forward the amount of steps that’s on the dice.
  • If you land a clock, shout out the time that’s shown, in Irish.
  • If you land on a square that says 'Caill Amach ar Chasadh’, you lose a turn.
  • The next player rolls and so on, until someone reaches ‘Deireadh’ and is crowned the winner!

Saol Laethúil: Cárta Poist

Write a postcard to a friend or relative, telling them about your typical day.  Here are some useful verbs to use, that Múinteoir Clíona mentioned in the lesson:

  • Éirim
  • Ithim
  • Breathnaíonn mé
  • Téim
  • Rithim
  • Feicim
