An 18 year old Irish student, Arya Satheesh was recently named the winner of the European Earth Prize 2026 for her incredible invention called Eco Purge - a biodegrabable plastic that helps break down other microplastics, earning over €10,000 in future funding. And as this is National Biodiversity Week, Cathal spoke with Arya to hear a little more about how her plastic works!
