Every year on 9 May people Europe Day takes place, it's a celebration of peace and unity across the continent. Cathal went to a school in Laois to see how they marked the occasion.
Europe Day marks the anniversary of the historic Schuman Declaration that proposed the formation of a united Europe to ensure peace and economic stability. This day reflects on Europe's achievements and aspires to foster a common identity among its diverse cultures.
A biodiversity project in the Burren, Co Clare, that encourages landowners to make space for nature has been rolled out 5,000 times across 15 counties.
Burrenbeo Trust said there is a huge desire among people in Ireland to protect biodiversity and the natural environment. RTÉ News' Petula Martyn has the story.
And we finish with cute story from Thailand where a Buddhist monk and his temple dogs take to the water to do alms along the river. Alms-giving is when people donate money, goods, or services as an act of charity or religious devotion.
