The Republic of Ireland men's and women's football managers made a surprise visit to an east Cork primary school with a special delivery of footballs. RTÉ's Southern Editor Paschal Sheehy was in at Carrigtwohill Community National School to find out more.

Ireland's MNT Head Coach Heimir Halgrímsson, his assistant, John O'Shea, and WNT Head Coach, Carla Ward, got huge cheers as they arrived at the 450-pupil school. They were there as part of the FAI's Me and My Ball initiative, to deliver footballs to schools nationwide.

A 13-year-old boy has recounted how he swam for four hours through choppy waters off western Australia to get help for his family in a feat hailed by rescuers as "superhuman".

The boy, Austin Appelbee, made it across 4km of ocean to raise the alarm after his mother - Irish woman Joanne - and two younger siblings were swept out to sea.
