The winner of this year's Stripe Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition received a hero’s welcome on her first day back at school in Co Kerry.

Aoibheann Daly, a fourth-year student at Mercy Secondary School, Mounthawk in Tralee, secured the title for her brain cancer diagnosis tool, "GlioScope". The 15-year-old was inspired to research the project after studying a three-week medicine course in Dublin City University. RTÉ's Petula Martyn was there to meet the science star.

The New Year is considered a time of new beginnings and in Venezuela this certainly rings true, now more than ever, after an unexpected and abrupt change has taken place just days into 2026. Florence is here to explain it all.

There was another big win for Kerry at the Golden Globes too! Jessie Buckley won Best Actress at the Golden Globes for her performance in Hamnet, on a night when the historical drama also won the Best Picture award.
