It's the most wonderful day of the year in RTÉ! Before we even sit down to watch the Late Late Toy Show tonight, we start our evening with a brilliant news2day broadcast. Pádraig Rynn from Galway was our special guest as he turned on the Christmas lights in RTÉ live on TV!

Pádraig was the winner of the 2025 news2day Christmas Art Competition and his family came from the west to join Florence and all the crew for this special show. He told us about his drawing and what the theme, Christmas is for Sharing, meant to him.
The Rynn family got a behind the scenes tour of the RTÉ newsroom and lots more. They even got a sneak peek of the Late Late Toy Show set.
We had some lovely music and lots of messages from Pádraig's friends and family from all over the world. Well done to him and to everyone who entered.
