Trees are a major part of our environment and a big reason why people and animals can live on earth. So, ahead of National Tree Day later this week, the students of Castleknock National School in Dublin were out and about learning about trees, and Cathal went along to see what lessons they uprooted!

A school in County Clare has just one day to enrol new students to save it from closure next year. Furglan National School is appealing to parents locally to enrol their children by tomorrow for September 2026, to secure the school's long-term future. RTÉ News' Petula Martyn reports.
