Hup! A class learns the beat of the bodhrán. The Teddy Bear Hospital returns to Galway. And, some real life bears try ice skating.

As we get ready for Tradfest, Barry followed the beat of the bodhrán to Scoil Carmel in Dublin where they were trying out the fun instrument. The workshop was run by Ablefest, who are involvedwith the festival and want to let people know that trad music is for everyone.

More than 1,000 school children are bringing their patients to the Teddy Bear Hospital at University of Galway. Medical and healthcare students who are studying there want to use it to help to allay fears and anxiety children may have around visiting doctors and hospitals.

The event is run by the Sláinte Society at the University of Galway. Eleanor Mannion reports.
