Dogs and their owners have been enjoying the annual Peata therapy dog carol service at Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin. Mark O'Flynn has the report.
The service included a blessing of the dogs in thanksgiving for the gifts animals bring to their owners and those who benefit from the charity's services.
The Live Animal Crib at the Mansion House in Dublin has been officially opened. The Lucan Gospel Choir, the Little Angels from St Joseph's Nursery on Morning Star Road in Dublin 8 and the children of Belclare National School in Galway took part in the opening ceremony.
The crib is a joint initiative between Dublin City Council and the Irish Farmers' Association.
