Here's news2day from Wednesday, 7 September 2022 and it's the usual mix of fun and some serious stories.

First up Molly visits Warrenmount Primary School in Dublin as they unveil 3 flags they earned for their work. They can now fly a Pride Flag for their work on LGBTQI+ awareness in the school.

The Amber Flag is rewarded for work on mental health and The Green Flag is for work on the environment and you can sign up here! Well done to everyone on all their amazing work!!

And there was a very sad story as news2day reports from the funeral of young jockey, Jack de Bromhead, who died after a tragic pony racing accident. We send all our condolences to his friends and family.

In international stories the gang report on the girls going to school in Afghanistan, which is now under the control of the Taliban. They don't think girls should go to school, but some are still open despite the danger!

And, in the last story we find out about some heroes in a half shell - tortoise power!! Western Swamp Tortoises were thought to be extinct in Australia but are making a comeback.
