Depending on what you are up to this festive season, and the type of person you are, it can all be very chill or a bit stressful. That is even true in the North Pole, as we are about to find out in RTÉ KIDSjr's animated special Santa's Holiday.

When Santa finishes delivering presents all around the world, it's time for the main man and the Elves in Santa’s Village to celebrate! There’s music, games, and lots of treats waiting for everyone. All the elves are ready to have fun - everyone except Arthur. He just can’t stop working!
Determined to help, cheerful little Maeve and her clever dog, Rocket, have a plan. They’re going to help Arthur put down his tools and join the party. But as Maeve tries to get him to relax, will she remember to enjoy the magic of Christmas herself?
Here's the story
After a busy year making and wrapping Christmas presents and delivering them within a tight deadline, Santa's Village is celebrating a well-deserved Christmas holiday. On the morning of Christmas Day, all the elves gather in the big festive hall.
Only one elf is missing, and that is the hard-working Arthur who is still busy in the workshop. Maeve, the littlest elf, is asked by Santa to go and fetch Arthur and lock things up after another hectic year. But Arthur does not want to stop working.
As everyone is letting loose and celebrating, poor old Maeve and Rocket spend their time chasing Arthur as he tries to fix, clean and organise the fun away. They have a hard time keeping Arthur in check and it's not long before Arthur and an orchestra of elves are sledding through Santa’s Village on an escaped concert stage - a winter wonder to behold!
But here’s the thing - did Santa put Maeve in charge of minding Arthur, or did she take on the job herself? Are the pair of them a bit too similar? You see, for Arthur, being busy is like a holiday. He gets stressed when there is nothing to do, but luckily there is just enough time left for Maeve to see that everyone enjoys their own thing, and she can finally join the party.
